VideoEvaluation
Advert evaluation, For our advert video We got into groups of three my group was Me ,Tyler and Shaun firstly We had to make a spider diagram of Ideas on what our advert was going to be and we came up with a product which was butter, also we had ideas about what the advert was going to include, Other props etc. We agreed on our advert being on a park where someone we would record the peace and quietness of the trees and then we would show someone laying down quietly enjoying the peace and out of nowhere a brick would fall on their head and blood will splatter everywhere and then the logo would come up with the slogan saying '' Don't lay it, spread it'' I think this is a very creative idea and it suit the theme and a its a good way to advertise our product. The equipment needed is a camera, and a tripod also the prop which is a ''sponge brick''.
Then we had to put this on a storyboard in Marisa's lesson.
The shots on the storyboard included
The First shot we are using a panning shot.
The second shot it is going to be a Mid-shot
The Third shot it is going to Be a POV shot.
The Fourth shot it is going to be a Wide shot
When we went to go to recording we found a park nearby and the location of this was St Mary's Rest Garden, then we started with the first shot where we just recorded the park and to show how peaceful it is, then for the second shot we changed it, Instead of our actor lying down on the grass we made him sit on a bench this is because the weather was damp and the grass was wet. Then for the third shot I climbed a tree and threw the brick down to the floor onto the camera which made it a P.O.V shot, then for the final shot we include our logo and slogan.
Then after we recorded it we had to go on the computers to edit them on the photo-shop software...
We are going to include effects and fades into our advert on Photoshop.
also we are including the background music which for the first few scenes is peaceful Music

or
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G8LAiHSCAs
And when the brick is falling we are going to use
the bomb- drop sound effect this will be
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGigkA-Xh5E
Then for the blood splatter noise we are going to use this sound.
this fits the theme.

Proposal
My
proposal
The props used in my freak or unique ideas is a brick and a tub of butter. I have chosen these props because they don’t associate together and I’m going to make them associate furthermore the equipment used in the process is a white background and a table for where my props are place, furthermore a camera to take the image and a tripod to place the camera on so its steady and it’s the height I want it to be. Also Red head light which makes the image brighter and make the actual color of the props come out instead of them being dark with no color.
The editing techniques will be on the Photoshop software this is where I can do anything we want to the images, we learned this from our other teacher Owain Davies who taught us the basics and how to use the program correctly so we don’t need any more help. I didn’t want to change a lot of things because I want the images to get close as possible to the original copy that’s why I only changed the brightness and the contrast of the image to the way I wanted it to look because If I edited it quite a lot it wouldn’t be natural and it would just look fake therefore I don't want that happening to my image. On the other hand other editing techniques used would be the pen tool, and the morph tool.
The obstacles I might face is the focus of the camera and the movement of it, also if the image we are taking is landscape or portrait, we just need to get everything perfect. the Time frame will take around a lesson which will be two hours maximum to get the shots how we want it and then we need time to edit them so one hour taking the images and one hour editing them to the way we want it. If we don’t do these in the certain amount of time given then it could all crash together and everyone would have a lot of weight on their shoulders.
The location is in lesson this is where we have access to many things such as lighting- background colour and tables for our images to stand on, also computers to view our images therefore the classroom is the best location to do these things.

Photographic evaluation
Our assignment was to take freaky images which was linked to our advert and we made a montage, For example we took 4 images and then at the end I combined them all together and made a final freaky image
The first image I took was of the Butter tub which I used the pen tool to crop out and i adjusted the brightness of it .The second image I took was of the Brick which I done the same thing to

The final morphed freaky image I made was this,
which looks very unique I also added a background
to give it more of a freaky look.
I got the inspiration from my own advert I believed that my advert included unique objects such as bricks and Butter tubs which no one really take images of therefore I thought I'd do it and morph it together. I put the brick on the butter tub because a brick is not really linked to butter and I made it link which is unusual because you never see a brick associated to butter. My ideas was to adjust the brightness so it looks natural and not much edited because we want the closest to the original copy as possible but with a bit more brightness and color features.
Equipment I used in the process is a white background and a table for where my props are placed, furthermore a camera to take the image and a tripod to place the camera on so its steady and it’s the height I wanted it to be. Also Red head light which makes the image brighter and make the actual color of the props come out instead of them being dark with no color. For the editing process we used Photoshop - editor we used this editor because we have learnt skills from Owain Davies and he has taught us how to work the program The main tools used was the pen tool and the morph tool.
What I could do to improve it is probably use an image of my own for the final background, because I have learnt that using your own images are better because you can edit and take another image if you are not quite sure of the one you took. Also for copyright purposes. Ive learnt that we need to be careful of the time for example taking the images and editing them we have to do all these things in a certain amount of time therefore it could get harder as you go along but once you finish it in the given amount of time it doesn't worry you that much. But if you haven't completed it then you should be worried.
I believe that my final image fits the assignment brief and my proposal because I havent changed anything from my proposal for it to fit my evaluation, they have both linked together perfectly.

Memory check
we can use to
adjust the brightness and contrast of a photograph?
Q2. When would we use the ‘P’ control setting on the camera mode dial.
2) To hand over both shutter speed and aperture to the camera for example for simple images that dont need much detail In P we control the ISO and the white balance
Q3. Name two important consideration when attaching the tripod base plate to the bottom of camera?
3) Remember to screw it on thumb tight and don't make it the wrong way follow the arrows.
Q4. Name three important considerations when using a red-head lighting kit
4) Dont touch the barn doors of the red head light also when its turned of make sure it cools down before you use it again, and make sure its stood up straight and its steady. Also health and safety for power cables.
Q5. When focusing the camera, what do we place on the object/subject to ensure it is the center of focus?
We use the Rule of thirds
Q6. Name two techniques we can use to adjust the brightness and contrast of a photograph?
the two techniques are the Iso and aperture
Q1. What is ISO and what does it
effect?
1) Iso is the exposure of how much light is aloud in.

Owainadvertdesignlayout
In today's lesson We have had to make our magazine cover layout
I made five layouts to see which one of them fit my criteria.
The one that fits the criteria the most is the first one because the layout
is plain and simple. Furthermore it stands out.
This is my advert design layout I chose to do the first one. The Logo and image fit perfectly onto the tub, I done this by using a new tool called the Warping tool This tool is very useful because it can get the perfect fit you want. This gives it more of a professional look.
To make the tub I used an image of a tub from the internet which then I changed the color of the lid of the tub to make it yellow by using the bucket tool.
I feel like I have done well but I could improve it by Making the tub more eye-catching, Like I could of made it glow or put a border around it with a different color.
The tools I used was
Bucket tool
Warp tool
Crop tool
Gradient tool
Square tool
Inverse tool
If I had to do it again I would change the color of the text to something more fun,for e.g Orange or yellow to fit the theme.
My research also helped me with this magazine cover because I got ideas from other company such as flora & I cant believe its not butter. One of the main ideas I got was the yellowish theme which is a very good idea. I also got the target audience from my research, the target audience for my product is, parents, chefs and people who are involved in catering

faye location proposal and logo
We did our proposal where we including detail about our product and our target audience furthermore the number of actors and the camera shots.

After we printed images of our logo so we can put these on the
sides of our tub.
This is larger than the other image because this logo is going to go ontop of the tub
therefore the writing and slogan is bigger and it stands out because its the main image.
We also pronted images of the place where we are filming the place is called,St marys rest garden
this is where our advert will be filmed
